Bragi CinemaScope
Small-Medium Screens
The Bragi features a native CinemaScope lens ensuring ultimate sharpness and brightness across the screen without the need for additional anamorphic lens hardware. Bragi CinemaScope is powered by a revolutionary, new, high lumens density (HLD) RGB LED light engine. Bragi produces a stunning, wide and extremely consistent P3/DCI colour Gamut with a rich, vibrant colour rendition. Brightness, up to 2200 lumens. Low noise (<30dB), with up to 50 000 hour life expectancy, 9 lens options and close to unlimited installation flexibility. Bragi delivers outstandingly sharp and saturated 4K HDR images on screen for the ultimate HDR experience on small to medium sized screens.

Balder Cinemascope
Small-Large Screens
Featuring the same native CinemaScope lens options and DCI-P3 colour space as the smaller Bragi, the Balder offers higher light output from its laser light engine allowing for larger screens while still maintaining ultimate on-screen brightness above 100-150 NITS in HDR. Balder incorporates BARCO’s unique PULSE electronics platform, in house designed laser engine and the world’s finest optical components, fusing them together to become the projector chosen by many professionals to be their go-to display for high performance home cinemas.

Hodr Cinemascope
Medium-Large Screens
Hodr Cinemascope distinguishes itself from the Bragi and Balder with its 3-Chip DLP design, offering enhanced black levels and image detail on screen. With 5600 ANSI Lumen light output, the Hodr is capable of being used on larger screens still with HDR-suitable brightness levels between 150-200 NITS and full DCI-P3 colour space for incredibly bright and saturated images. Supporting the DCI/P3 colour gamut, coupled with a high-capacity 2.37:1 aspect DLP engine and CinemaScope lens, this exceptional design allows a cinemascope film to be shown without requiring an anamorphic lens and free of any distortion on screen.

Native CinemaScope Lens and Chipset
Most movies in commercial theatres that are released today are in 2.39:1 format, commonly referred to as Cinemascope. Enabling a true cinematic experience, Barco Residential is unique in offering true CinemaScope projectors for the residential market.
The CinemaScope series projectors have a unique automatic aspect ratio detection function. It will detect the content aspect ratio and automatically scale the image to fit the required resolution in this case 5120 x 2160 and of course change back to 16:9 (3840×2160) if you have content in that format. Where required, you can manually override the auto aspect detection/switching system and recall a specific, or custom format of your choosing.
DCI-P3 Deep Colour Saturation
The standard for domestic home cinema for decades has been the REC 709 colour space as seen on TV, DVD and HD Blu-ray discs. Barco Residential Projectors expand on this to provide the DCI-P3 colour space used in commercial cinema and on all 4K UHD movies. DCI-P3 has a 26% larger colour gamut than REC709 and offers increased saturation and colour depth, making images appear more lifelike and brighter on screen. Further up in the Barco model range the colour space is pushed even further to include the REC2020 colour space for industry leading colour depth.
RGB LED and Laser Light Source
Unlike conventional lamp-based projectors, the Barco BRAGI utilises an LED Light Engine and all other models feature a Laser Light Source which offers increased run-time and usability without the need for servicing or replacing bulbs. Combine this with the impressive DCI-P3 colour space and our eyes are tricked to interpret the colours on-screen as richer and brighter than they are physically measured.
