Introducing Ascendo, a state-of-the-art brand of speakers down to the finest details. Designed in Germany, Ascendo speakers are handcrafted with the greatest components and materials and precision by trained audio experts. The Digital Picture now has Queensland’s only Ascendo demonstration facility on display at our showroom.

Ascendo was founded in the year 1999 by three music lovers, and the brand would soon be transformed into a technology company carrying a musical heritage and various traits. All of this led to the development of Ascendo Immersive Audio. Today, they are dedicated to developing, designing, and producing premium home theatre systems for our clients for a complete cinematic experience with unlimited dynamics.

Why Ascendo?

• Undistorted Maximum SPL

All ASCENDO speakers offer extremely high undistorted maximum SPL levels to create a visceral surround sound experience. The use of high-performance coax point source drivers results in an acoustic experience that is real and emotionally evolving. Not all speakers are created equal, and this is no more true than when you experience an Ascendo audio system. However, there are no gains if a system can play loud but without finesse. Ascendo systems maintain audio fidelity even during moments of incredible sound pressure in the biggest blockbuster movies.

• BASS, Massive Bass

Ascendo subwoofers stand for extremely fast, controlled and abyssal bass response. Ascendo is known for producing world-class subwoofer systems in 12, 15″, 18″ and 21″ sizes with incredibly low distortion and high SPL. Further to this, Ascendo has expanded their range to include infrasonic subwoofers in 24″, 32″, 50″ and 80″ sizes which need to be seen to be believed.

• Medium to Large Sized Rooms

Ascendo Audio loudspeakers offer high power handling and high sensitivity coupled with an incredibly dynamic sound stage, the perfect combination for dedicated home cinema rooms. Depending on the room size, Ascendo has a range of passive and active speakers to suit the application, and we will engineer your room to suit and select the right speaker for the output requirements.

• Reference Level SPL

Decades ago, the pioneers of cinemas decided that a specific minimum Sound Pressure Level (SPL) of at least 105bB must be obtained during playback of transient effects such as explosions, gun shots and jet flyovers. Not all speakers can achieve this reference level output in large rooms, but Ascendo speakers systems can easily achieve this. When the correct speaker is selected and engineered into your home cinema, you will soon realise how important this reference level requirement is and begin to feel the difference that a high-level sound system adds to the movie, just as the director intended.
