2015 Award Winning Home Cinema
In late 2014 we completed this excellent media room home theatre system for a client in Brisbane, along with a full home automation system including Clipsal CBUS, RTI Controls and a host of multi-room audio and HD video distribution technology.
The home theatre consisted of the following equipment:
- Triad Bronze LCR Home Cinema Front Speakers
- Triad Silver 12″ Subwoofer
- Sim2 Crystal Cube 3D DLP Projector
- Anthem AV Receiver
- Elite Screens 4K Acoustic Transparent Projection Screen
- Awesome Kordz HDMI cables and a host of accessories.
Fast forward to 2015 and we had entered this system into the 2015 Cedia Asia Pacific Awards where we received an award for the project in the Best Media Room under $25,000 category. We were happy to accept!
This theatre room, while simple, is very powerful and able to deliver a crisp and punchy acoustic performance alongside the bright Sim2 projector. We went through the process of performing an ISF Video calibration and full digital acoustic calibration on the room, netting an outstanding result and a very happy client.
For the whole house automation and audio-visual package, we installed a central equipment rack to house an RTI control system which took care of the whole house audio and HD video distribution, Clipsal CBUS lighting automation system including Spa, Blinds and Lighting. Everything was controlled by a package of RTI handheld remote controls and a customised iPad App, with the iPad’s being mounted onto wall docks around the home.
All up, this system provided the perfect balance of high performance and high tech automation with an easy to use affordable and reliable interface.
